Cisco
Cisco is a hybrid variety. Cisco’s crown structure is tight and relatively small which makes it suitable for home garden planting. It blooms and foliates in late spring which lowers the chance of being effected by late spring frosts. Also resistance to blight is relatively low.
Cisco’s pistil (female organs) matures later then stamen (male organs), as a results fruit yield is low. But stamen’s (male organ) early maturing makes it a better selection for pollinator trees.
Fruits grown on lateral buds (75% of overall) and similar to Franquette but larger. Kernel color varieties and kernel recovery isn’t optimal. Cisco can be used as pollinator for Chandler, Franquette, Pedro and Howard.
