Fernette
Fernette is a French variety which foliates & blooms (late April – early May) in late spring which lowers the chance of being effected by late spring frosts. Also it’s highly resistant to blight & anthracnose. Fruits grow around 2nd week of October on lateral buds which makes it possible for tight planting. Saplings mature relatively earlier comparing to other varieties.
Fruits are large, its shell makes it possible to extract kernel easily, kernel is light colored and has good flavor. Fernette can be used as pollinator for Fernor to improve overall yield and also it pollinates with Fernor, vice versa.
