Definition: Infection on Leaves & Fruits
Symptoms: Black & Brown color changes and necrosis on fruits and leaves
Pathogen Type: Bacterial
Effects: Leaves, fruits and new buds
Activity Duration: Starts from early spring to harvest
Side Effects:
- Tree Growth: Does not kill trees but fruit yield effects negatively.
- Leaves: Brown spots in early season, these spots get darker later on.
- Fruit: Damaged fruits due spot/necrosis occurrence
- New Buds: Dark and semi concave, shapeless lesions
- Root: No effects
Regional Features: Regions with high relative humidity
Prevention:
- Only chemical treatments.
Treatment:
- Can be controlled by bactericide application
- First application, in early foliation
- Second application, after pollination
- Additional application can be necessary in humid season
